This song was written in 1985 in Montreal. I was very young and the original lyrics were somewhat of a whine about being "left alone on a dead end night, broken hearted"... Booohooo!! poor me, I need her in order to live... After a few years I grew up. I still liked the song and so did my friend Drew Graham, a Raelian guide, very high level of wisdom and consciousness. He wrote the gorgeous new lyrics, inspired he was by the great beauty of Lisa Sunagawa, another beautiful Raelian guide. This new version really gives this song justice. Three previous recordings of Heart On Fire were released in the 80's by three different bands. Each on very hard to find vinyl albums...
lyrics
HEART ON FIRE
Words: Drew Graham
Music: Eloha Bouchard
In a dream I saw her eyes
Shining as the stars in heaven
As she talked to me
From far away
Whispered verse from poet’s feather
Distant from the far horizon
Wisdom in the touch of angels
I hear her say
Take away the dark from the night
Only laughter
Distant places now in sight
I’m still standing alone
I got my
Heart on fire
Lost in desire
I want her
But I’m still standing alone
Woken from a deepest slumber
To a world without a border
Every kiss from you
I celebrate
If it’s time to re-define
Visit to a new dimension
Happiness is ours forever
Everyday
Take away the dark from the night
Only laughter
Distant places now in sight
I’m still standing alone
I got my
Heart on fire
Lost in desire
I want her
But I’m still standing alone
I got my
Heart on fire
Lost in desire
I want her
I’m still standing alone
Solo
Distant places now in sight
I’m still standing alone
Heart on fire
Lost in desire
Heart on fire (wooo)
Lost in desire (Wooo)
I want her
But I’m still standing alone
I got my
Heart on fire (wooo)
Lost in desire (Wooo)
I want her
But I’m still standing alone
I got my
Heart on fire
